back in january, we started building something we felt was missing from the internet.
not a product. not a business.
a place.
a space for creators who wanted to tell stories. their stories.
not chasing trends. not chasing virality. just chasing great videos.
we built pathway because making videos changed our lives.
it gave us freedom, community, purpose.
but getting there was hard.
we spent years making mistakes we didn’t know we were making. working late nights alone. uploading videos whilst hoping they might finally do well.
no feedback. no roadmap. no people around us doing what we dreamed of doing.
we wondered if we could create that missing space.
a place where creators helped each other grow.
where we could actually spend time giving personal, thoughtful feedback.
where making a good video wasn’t about cracking an algorithm - it was about connecting with people.
so we put all the spare time we had into trying to build it.
and that’s what pathway became.
it was never perfect. but it was real.
we watched you upload your first videos.
get your first 10,000 views. hit a million. give each other advice. get jobs. find your voice.
and honestly, watching that happen… it’s been one of the most meaningful things we’ve ever done.
but from the very beginning, gabe and i agreed on something: we’d only keep building pathway if we could do it right - with the time, care, and attention the community deserves.
now, as we each double down on our own creative work - gabe with his business, and me with my own content - we’ve realised we can’t give pathway what it needs to keep being that kind of space.
so, we’ve made the decision to hit pause.
to everyone who joined, whether you were loud or quiet, active every day or just soaking it all in: thank you.
you were always the best part of this.
pathway was never just about videos.
it was about people who took a bet on themselves.
who chose to show up, to try, to keep going even when things felt uncertain or hard.
you did that.
whether you hit a million views or are still chasing your first 1,000 - you're a creator now.
the numbers will come. the skills will grow.
what matters most is that you chose to begin.
you’ve got everything you need.
now go make something amazing.
thank you for building this with us <3
